ThinClient's AJ_LedService not supports WiFi shield via UDP?

I'm seeing the AJ_LedService source code for Arduino and I can see that you can define a WIFI_UDP_WORKING to get the IP from an open SSID. I thought the ThinClient example with Arduino Due was limited to the (wired) ethernet shield. Can anybody confirm that the ThinClient led service project for Ardunio works with a WiFi shield in an open SSID? If yes, where can I buy the shield? (not sure if it has to be a very specific shield to get it to work)

Best. Thx a lot
