I am particularly targeting to develop an iOS app that uses the AllJoyn Service Frameworks. Regarding the Control Panel Service Framework for iOS, it is stated on one of the documents that "At the current time, there is not a Widget Rendering Library that is available for iOS", so I would just like to know when will be the estimated time that this library will be available? Or is it possible to use the native iOS UIs to create like a control panel that can communicate with a Thin Client app?

Thank you very much in advance for the response.

Best Regards,

Hi andrell24,

Currently there is no known plan to have an iOS Widget Rendering Library in the near future. I do not see any reason as to why you could not use your own UI for control panel. I would still suggest keeping an eye on documentation and wiki for updates in regards to this.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi Nikhil, So, you mean that the ControlPanelServiceFramework is just another way on how an AJSCL control panel can be defined and communicate with an AJTCL app? I thought that the only mechanism in defining the control panel of an AJSCL app is through the AJTCL app sending UI hints (buttons, labels, etc.) that will be rendered by the AJSCL app. Thanks, Darrell
