Hi guys, I tried to embed an aboutClient into my android application. I followed the guide (sec. 5.5.1 - pag.20) but a strange issue happened. As the guide teels, I call:

Map <string, object=""> aboutData = aboutClient.getAbout((String)announceMap.get("DefaultLanguage"))

but the following error log

org.alljoyn.bus.BusException: Session is not connected, need to check isConnected, and reconnect

returns when the application run and the about service, on another device, announces his property .

Another strange thing is that the application is able to read these fields:

String deviceId = (String) (newMap.get(AboutKeys.ABOUT_APP_ID).toString());
String deviceFriendlyName = (String) newMap.get(AboutKeys.ABOUT_DEVICE_NAME);

but not:

String description = (String) newMap.get(AboutKeys.ABOUT_DESCRIPTION);

Do you know why this happen?

The issue is solved. Before calling:

Map <string, object=""> aboutData = aboutClient.getAbout((String)announceMap.get("DefaultLanguage"))

is necessary to call:

In the AllJoyn™ About Feature 1.0 Usage Guide (android), unfortunaly this call is left out in the example snippet.

In the same guide there is a typo in the section 5.2 "Start Client mode"; you have to replace:

Thanks for the heads up. We'll make sure the next posting of the docs fixes these issues, coming soon! Also, note that an instance of the AboutIconClient class similarly requires a "connect()" call. This issue will also be addressed in the next release of the docs.
