Simple Tutorials to start with

Hello Everyone, I am very new to the allseen alliance and have no experience with linux. i have worked with arduino and have worked on c,c++ and c# previously and have some basic programming knowledge.

I am looking for some simple tutorials on getting started with the alljoyn applications.Being able to program and communicate between two devices using - Serial Communication,B luteooth or Wi-fi. The tutorials listed on the allseen alliance's website are a litttle difficult for me to understand. if there are some basic step-by-step guides for dummies from where I can learn it would be very helpful. I am here to learn and develop, even if the guides are using linux it is not a problem, i would be willing to learn them.

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

One way to get started with AllJoyn is to read about the architecture and run available sample applications (and examine and build the code underneath).

The pre-built binaries for various platforms can be downloaded from the SDK Downloads. Steps to run sample applications from SDK can be found here.

Thanks a lot. With regards to the SDK Downloads - what is the Platform "Source" ? is it the Linux based SDK?

Platform source is a tar ball containing AllJoyn source code (no binaries). Given the variety of Linux distributions, AllSeen Alliance doesn't provide Linux SDK with binaries. The recommendation for Linux platform is to download the source tarball (or pull the release git tag) and build it locally.
