Hi,

I recently started following up Allseen Alljoyn. I am very much interested to know if there has been any porting done for thin client for cheap but promising hardware platform like ESP8266 ?

If there are any limitations of getting this for ESP8266 , are there any other platforms (Similar to ESP8266) which are already supported ?

Thanks, Ashish

Hi Ashish, ESP8266 is just a wifi module. You can't build alljoyn onto that. Porting on Arduino D works fine with the wifi module provided by Qualcomm. If you are asking if ESP8266 can work as a common network to play with your application that u can give it a try. It should work. :-)

Hi Anuj, I had the similar question as Ashish. I have been programming 8266. It is a MCU which is WiFi enabled. It supports LUA and C. If AllJoyn is ported to it, it will be a great win for alljoyn and IoT in general. Comments/thoughts? Regards Anuj (surprise, we share the first name :-) )
