I am trying to connect to an alljoyn device with alljoyn-15.04.00-win7x64vs2013-sdk running on eclipse. I downloaded SDK and imported the java samples into eclipse. And then I find out that I do not know which sample I should run and how to set it. I want it to scan and connect to my alljoyn device, PowerTech APPSTRIGGER Smart Plug. Please give me some suggestions, thanks.

In my opinion you have to determine the right interface for the smart plug. AllJoyn devices can pair using their announcements or advertisements. This happens using specific interface descriptions.

So if you know the interface of the smart plug you can shout in your network using .whoImplements(..) and you'll get an answer.

This post is my personal point of view. Please hit me, if I misunderstood something! :-)

In addition to julianbros: Use Wireshark (filter:aj&&ajns) to determine what interfaces/objects are announced by your smart plug. Next step then is playing around with the modified (interface and object names) JavaSDKDocAboutClient. That way helped me getting started with my devices having unknown interfaces.

Did you manage to enumerate the interfaces of your Appstrigger device? If so, could you please list them here?
