I have a setup of

  • one non-alljoyn Router
  • one ConfigClient (OpenWRT 1)
  • one ConfigService (OpenWRT 2)
  • Both OpenWRT 1 and OpenWRT 2 are associating to non-alljoy Router.
  • Able to ping from OpenWRT 1 to OpenWRT 2 and vice versa

ConfigClient(openwrt1) ----------> Router(non-alljoyn) <----------- ConfigService(openwrt2)

However, I can't let let the ConfigClient to communicate with the ConfigService. The following logs are of ConfigClient and ConfigService

ConfigClient side:

root@openwrt1:/usr/bin# ./ConfigClient
AllJoyn Library version: v14.06.00a
AllJoyn Library build info: AllJoyn Library v14.06.00a (Built Tue May 19 03:10:45 UTC 2015 by ltd - Git: alljoyn branch: '(detached from v14.06a-rc1)' tag: 'v14.06a-rc1' (+0 changes) )
BusAttachment started.
Daemon Connect succeeded.

ConfigService side:

root@openwrt2:/usr/bin# ./ConfigService
AllJoyn Library version: v14.06.00a
AllJoyn Library build info: AllJoyn Library v14.06.00a (Built Mon May 11 07:41:00 UTC 2015 by ltd - Git: alljoyn branch: '(detached from v14.06a-rc1)' tag: 'v14.06a-rc1' (+0 changes) )
using port 900
using Config-file ConfigService.conf
using appID 9bb8bb6821dc4ef6a76346b301c72a06
Initializing application.
AdvertiseName :uUuovf46.4 = 0x0000

NOTE

If I connect ConfigClient (OpenWRT 1 - Station mode) to ConfigService (OpenWRT 2 - AP mode) wirelessly, the ConfigClient can communicate with ConfigService

@praveenb Please post your answer, the reason because the Router is blocking multicast. I will accept your answer. Thanks

One thing to check would be if non-alljoyn Router is blocking multicast. Another would be use to tcpdump on one of the OpenWrt devices to see if discovery packets (udp and port 5353) are being received. Also any particular reason for using 14.06? The newest release is 15.04.
