Alljoyn looks like the best technology for my project. I have downloaded the SDK for android and run the chat sample. My challenge is how do I test the sample on the emulator? I have read from the forums that you can run multiple instances of an app on the same emulator. How do I achieve this? Also is it possible to communicate between two emulators using Alljoyn...since I read a solution had been found for this scenario.

It is not possible for Android emulators to talk to each other. You can run the two or more applications on the emulator, but you would need to have a different package name in the manifest to have two instances of the same applications running. What I do is use a tablet and handset and test/debug with these two devices. I have also written a test app specific for my needs in C++ that implements the same AllJoyn interface (or modify an AllJoyn Service Framework sample) to unit test from my computer to application on my handset that I am developing.
