How to start with unity and alljoyn

I have develop a game in unity and now i want to give control of the game to my android device or my android device will act as gamepad for the game, i want to know what are the procedure i need to follow i have downloaded the sdk and all i have is basic client and server programme in both platform.

Is it something like my game is client and gamepad is server, if i press button over my device it will send a command to unity that this button is pressed and i have to do actions according to it. or alljoyn has a gamepad layout and i have to configure it, please help me.

Here are a few pointers on creating the interaction you're trying to achieve:

  • You should setup an AllJoyn session between the game and the controller. I would recommend having the game application be the AllJoyn session host, and the gamepad/controller application function as the session joiner.
  • AllJoyn does not have any built-in gamepad or game controller feature. What you can do is create an AllJoyn interface that has different methods and signals that can be used to start/pause the game, send controller up/down/left/right movements, and other button presses depending on what your game requires.
  • You could create the controller application as a separate Unity app, as part of your existing Unity game, or as an Android or iOS AllJoyn app. Because the communication between the game and the controller is all handled by AllJoyn, you have this flexibility.

@mitchw thanks i got your point, not as i am starting with unity development i have few more question what sdk should i download i have downloaded android 14.0.2, is it enough ? As i have tried with basic client and basic server samples as per manual, client run on android device but if i run basic server on windows it start giving me some .dll file error.

@mitchw i have tried to download windows sdk and put android_unity_native.dll plugin inside plugin folder of unity it still giving me error, i want to know how to run server or client samples in windows using unity. or what am i doing wrong ??

@stblue can you try and use just the x86 version. I believe there is an issue when using the 64bit library.
