Just started reading the Develop section, in order to evaluate the AllSeen framework for the OS group in my company. Glad to see the docs are light years ahead of the mess IoTivity has got (some 20 different acronyms for leaf and routing nodes, to begin with). However, there is still a bunch of errors that need addressing, giving people a good start.

14.12 release review on wiki seem to just copy the instructions for 14.06. No sample_apps directory among sources.

I am stressing this as this just shouldn't be happening - you shouldn't be copying release notes from one release to another. Somebody answered another question, saying that Base Services for 14.12 hasn't been released yet.

Hopefully, I am wrong and just didn't read it properly but so far, just can't find it.

BTW, AC devices are what ? I don't see the acronym being introduced through the hours of videos and ppts in the Learn section ?

Many thanks,

Ok, I see that the release review has a single mistake - link to the Building and Running page which is just not yet updated... Well, I guess I all begin with the 14.06 code.

The release review page isn't the release notes. With respect to copying are you referring to the release review wiki page? it is true that much of the content looks similar, but it isn't the same, the links (should, please let me know if I missed something) should point to the 14.12 versions of things rather than 14.06. Also to be clear are you referring to this page when you refer to the 14.12 release review?

Finally: AC stands for Air conditioner. that sample is intended to be an example of what an Air Conditioner service might look like.

Thanks for your help. When I click on Building and Running link at the page you gave link for, it'll take me to the very same instructions for building Linux AC Server Sample. Those can't be executed on 14.12 as there is no $AJ_ROOT/services/base/sample_apps directory.

BTW, even the very first instruction set on Building and Running page (to build AllJoyn on Linux) seems to be invalid: Running ./ConsumerService and ./ProducerBasic will yield nothing as neither example is compiled with the router (BR=off) neither the instructions start a standalone one.
