How to use Onboarding with Alljoyn.js?

asked 2014-10-31 09:45:21 -0700

Hello I have been playing with Alljoyn.js on my Raspberry Pi device. I tried to run the sample apps from the https://git.allseenalliance.org/cgit/core/alljoyn-js.git/tree/js directory, some of them runs smoothly on Raspberry Pi and it can be easily checked via Alljoyn ON Android App.

But I can't use onboarding service, in fact I don't know how to use it via Alljoyn.js. Would please anyone assist me to the docs, or how to use the service?

Best

You should be able to build and install the onboarding service on any Linux platform but the integration between AllJoyn.js and the Onboarding service on Linux is currently incomplete. Onboarding will get your RPI onto your WiFi network and AllJoyn.js will work but and configuration parameters you set during onboarding are unavailable to AllJoyn.js. This is something we will be getting to fairly soon.
