Fire-and-forget MethodCall results in ER_BUS_UNMATCHED_REPLY_SERIAL

My code initiates a method call on a remote object (FYI, the target is LSF controller service). I'm using the following code:

obj.MethodCall(method, args, n_args, 0);

The call succeeds, but I'm consistently getting reports of ER_BUS_UNMATCHED_REPLY_SERIAL. Shouldn't some part of alljoyn ignore these responses? I assume that I can safely ignore this error, but it clutters up output anyway.

Isn't the flag ALLJOYN_FLAG_NO_REPLY_EXPECTED (used internally in the above call) supposed to make alljoyn "happy" with the fact that the response will be ignored?

This indeed does look like a bug that should be filed. The expectation of a Fire-and-forget should ignore the return response as you say. Please navigate to jira.allseenalliance.org and file an issue against the Core software.
