I execute CHAT application on the board with embedded Linux and Linux PC. The board and PC are connected via Ethernet cable. Chat application works for AllJoyn 14.02 but does not work for AllJoyn 14.06

I have the following output on the board for AllJoyn 14.06:

./chat -j testing

BusAttachment started. RegisterBusObject succeeded. Connect to 'unix:abstract=alljoyn' succeeded. org.alljoyn.Bus.FindAdvertisedName ('org.alljoyn.bus.samples.chat.testing') succeeded. Waited 0 seconds for JoinSession completion. Waited 1 seconds for JoinSession completion. Waited 2 seconds for JoinSession completion. Waited 3 seconds for JoinSession completion. Waited 4 seconds for JoinSession completion. and so on ...

What may be the possible problem?

@marina-gorshkova this sounds like a bug that you have found in the new software. Can you please file a jira (http://jira.allseenalliance.org) and include the exact steps that you are using to reproduce the issue. If you can attach a wireshark capture that would be helpful as well.

Can you also comment on if you have any firewall rules or mDNS being blocked? Is the Android device running the new AllJoyn 14.06 chat sample or the old 14.02 sample?

Is login/password to jira the same as here? I could not login to Allseen Alliance JIRA

It is not Andriod device, It is the EVB with MIPS processor, OS Linux v. 2.6.30. It is connected with PC (OS Ubuntu) via Ethernet. Firewall is disabled: ufw status Status: inactive

And both sides are using 14.06? Not the latest mainline software? If one side is using the mainline software and the other is using an older version of AllJoyn then they will not discover each other by default.

@marina-gorshkova Let's continue the discussion in JIRA. For future reference, please file core bugs under the ASACORE project.
