AllJoyn only uses IPv6 for advertisement purposes. It uses IPv4 for the actual message communications.

The current (at the time of the writing of this answer) development version of OpenWrt known as Barrier Breaker has IPv6 support. Older versions of OpenWrt does not have IPv6 support. (Note that Barrier Breaker is currently in the release candidate phase.) You can get more details about OpenWrt from their website: www.openwrt.org .
